Frequently asked questions
Do I have to move everything to the cloud?
No. Only some of your applications may suit the cloud, and some may need to run on-site. We recommend what's right for you, then look strategically at hosting the rest.
Can I keep my own hardware but still get "cloud" benefits?
Yes. With On-Premise Cloud, the infrastructure sits at your site, but you consume it as a service rather than owning the hardware.
We're still running an old on-site server and email. What do you recommend?
Most clients start by moving email to Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online) and adding cloud backup. XBC supports your business on Microsoft 365 as a long-term Microsoft and Cloud On Demand partner.
What happens during load shedding?
Cloud-hosted workloads keep running in the data centre. Your team just needs power and a connection wherever they are — which is why we also help clients plan backup power and connectivity.
How is cloud billed?
Cloud services are delivered as a subscription, so you can reduce capital spend on hardware. Use our savings calculator or talk to us for a quote tailored to your business.
